The materials include water, tablespoon, and narrow neck flask or bottle which is resistant to heat. Microwave, hot plate, or stove will also be needed besides ice cube and thick mitt. For doing this science project, the students should be accompanied by adult helper.
Procedure
The science fair projects for 7th grade will display the creation of cloud in smaller scale, in a bottle or flask. The procedure is pretty simple after all. Some water should be boiled on the microwave or stove. The boiled water should be allowed to cool for about 30 seconds. Next, the help from the adults will be needed for measuring the two tablespoons of hot water into the bottle which has narrow mouth. It is important for making sure that the adult will help this step because the hot water can be dangerous and measuring it into the bottle can the a little bit tricky for children. It is important for putting the ice cube on the mouth of the narrow mouthed flask or bottle very quickly after the boiled water is put into the bottle. The students will be able to see the result of this science project. There will be a cloud which is formed in the bottle between the hot water and the ice cube. From the liquid water which is heated, it will be evaporated or changed into the gas which is invisible and it is called water vapor.
